Mahavir Jayanti is one of the most important festivals for the Jain community, celebrating the birth of Lord Mahavir. Unlike other festivals, Mahavir Jayanti is seen with simplicity, reflecting the teachings of Jainism, which emphasizes humility and non-violence. The festival does not include a grand program or idol worship, as Mahavira himself did not believe in such practices. Mahavir Jayanti 2025 will be celebrated on 10 April 2025.
